On average, most of Korean have studied English almost 10 years since they're in primary school but Korean's education course of English study focus on grammar and reading so many korean are good at grammar and reading than speaking and listening.
However, thinking about in community life. As soon as we wake up in the morning, we communicate. We meet many people a day. Speaking and listening, both are more valuable than any other thing. How do English learners improve their skills in English? I'll put my experience. Since I was in Canada, I had heavy stress because I couldn't speak English as much as I had thought before. Even I couldn't speak some simple sentences. At that time, my teacher told me one thing. "Don't be scared. You aren't a native speaker. It could be happen all the time that you make a mistake in your speaking. You can learn more and more by mistakes. Remember this, learning English is using English."After I talked with him, my mind was so slight. Since then, I found the easiest way to learn English. Don't be afraid of making a mistake!
If you want to improve English, not your mother tongue, as often as speak only English possible, write a dairy in English every day, try to think in English and read the books or newspaper. You have to try to do whatever you can. In progress, sometimes you encounter a language barrier but go on! never give up. practice makes perfect.

Gender
As you know, women and men have different ways of speaking. I feel that strongly in my whole life. When I try to talk with men, sometimes I'm frustrated because they won't understand women's sensitive emotions about people or things or any kind of that.
For instance, let's try to visualize this situation. One day I had a hard day with no reason like everyone in the world feel like this way. And I was in a bad mood, all I wanted was somebody listened to me and shared my feeling that what made me too blue. At that time, I talked about those bad emotions in my mind to male friends. I wanted my male friends as a lawyer, not a judge in the court. Just listen to me and feel sympathy, not the same way exactly. That's really what I wanted. It's not hard one. It's a piece of cake. But all the time, they cut me off and then show me how to solve the problems instead of listen to me to the end. "The reason why you feel like that....." "Do this, do that" like this way. I didn't want that I was able to think about reasonable solutions like him. I regret that I tried to talk with them. I should've met my female friends.
Why? Both of women and men are human beings. But why there is some different ways of speaking? They're totally different from birth? If you have some time think about this question.

"my father"
Nowadays, I'm feeling homesick a little bit. I have been missing everyting (family, best freind, food, the weather, the sea, etc.) since I was in Canada. Espeacially, I miss my father so much. He is the most important person in my life. I can't imagine live without him. I want to talk about him.
When I was growing up, he was my role model. He always helped me. He was good at cheering people up. I love his positve things. For example, I fail the exam that I really want to pass, I felt disappointed in myself because I had a high expectation of myself. At that time, he always gives me some useful advice and says to me warm words. And then, I feel that I'm in a heeling process. He helped me to overcome my bad feelings. He took care of our family all the time. He has a high responsibility about family. It's most important thing in his life. I was happy when I was growing up, because of him. I thought about my future, I could talk with him all the time what I want to talk. He was busy with his own business but he gave some time for me. His advice was really helpful for me.
There is another reasone is why I admire of him. He had a hard childhood. He grew up in a poor family. He has four brothers and one sister. Both of were farmer. They couldn't take care of all of them, becacuse they didn't have enough money. When he graduated from high school, he wanted to go to university to study. He had a big desire to study, but his parents weren't able to pay for him. He was very disappointed, but he never had a hard feelings them. He just changed his plan. he promised himself. "Someday, I will be able to pay for study, I'll go to university and study again!" Finally, he succeeded in his own business. As soon as he earned enough money, he registered in university. At that time, he could pay for study. He studied so hard. He could study as much as he wanted. He tries to do his best all the time in anything. I love his life style.

Paragliding
It is the most 'extreme' thing I've ever done. "Paragliding" When I traveled two years ago, I visited one famous place for paragliding. I decided to go paragliding at that time. That's why I came there. First, I had to go to the top of the mountain by a big truck. It was a real thril because the way to go to the top of the mountain that was a really tough. The mountain steepens to the top. But I wasn't afraid of anything. I was excited about activity. I'm a risk-taker. I can do anything what I want to do! When I arrived at the top of the mountain, I saw the people, who went paraglidng, are gliding in the sky. That was too terrific. My heart was more beating and beating rapidly.
I heard about some do's and don'ts from guide. After that, I wore paragliding suits. I was a raw beginner so I should go paragliding with another expert. I was ready for paraglidng. And I just ran and ran until my body was in the sky. I never forget that moment. It was a little bit strange feelings but not negative. Actually, it was absoultely positive feelings. I can't express my feelings any words even in my first language. It was just cool!!!! I've never experienced before. My body was floating in the sky like swimming in the sea. I was in the sky for one hour. Everything was perfect. I felt I was in the heaven. I saw the beautiful clear blue sea, I felt the wind through my cheeks. I just felt every single mintute.
Now, I want to do many extreme things. I want to go bungejumping in Africa. Africa is my dream continent to travel for a long time. Keep dreaming, I can make dreams come ture. Soon or later. I hope so.

My happiest memory in my whole life
I like travel. If someone ask me, "You have to choose only one thing, think it, what's your most favorite thing?" As soon as I heard that question, I can answered, "TRAVELING" Someday, I'll go travel all of the world about two years. It's my dream since I was in high school. I have traveled some countries. But if I choose only one country, where I want to go there again, that is Turkey.
In 2008, I had a summer vacation from university. At that time, I felt quite exhausted because of study. So I wanted to refresh my mind and body. One day, I and my best friend talked about traveling, I decided to go to Turkey. There's no reason why I choose that country. It was just attraction. And then I and her bought an airplane ticket impulsively. We didn't make any plans, we just went to there with one guidebook. Everybody worried about us, because we hadn't no idea about Turkey. But we didn't care.
Our trip was so amazing experience! I've never traveled other countries before so much fun like Turkey. I never forget this travel. Especially, one of the most special things is spending all the time there with my best friend. Almost two months, I was always happy. Smile never left on my lip. We traveled almost cities of Turkey. Turkish people are so friendly and super kind, they took care of us all the time. In spite of they can't speak English, they tried to let me know some information about anything. I had a desire what I talked with them more and more. So I studied Turkish a little bit there. Sometimes language isn't important between people. We have a language barrier each other, but we could communicate with eyes or feelings. I felt their true heart. Everything was so perfect. People, the weather, cities, food, etc.. I felt that I left my heart there. I cried so much when I left Turkey. I wanted to stay more days, but my time was limited. I still miss Turkey since I left there. I'll go to Turkey again this year for get back my heart.

Fraud
This story is my uncle's. This is the one of the worst experiences in his whole life. He was cheated by a telephone con man. One day he was reading a book at home when the phone was rang. He picked it up. The swindler told to my uncle "Hi, I'm a bank clerk. Someone stole your personal information and bank account. So you should protect your money. I'll give you another bank account. You have to send your money in this account to another one." Unfortunately, my uncle is easy to believe people. He is so naive. So he came to bank with his bankbook and stamp. He never checked again. He was totally trusted him. He took out all of his money in that account and sent them another one. And then, he lost his money about $9000. He wanted to his money back. He reported this fraud to the police. But the call was called from China. So they couldn't catch a con man. There are many victims includes him. It took a long time he overcame this terrible experience. Everyone blamed on him. Also he blamed on himself, too. Clearly, he should've been careful at that time. But he learned one lesson. He is more careful now.
